Cat ear beanies are super cute, and after making a few myself, I wanted to make my own unique version. Granny stitches are super fun, and make projects work up really quick, so that ended up being the main feature of this pattern.

Because of the nature of granny stiches, the body of the hat ends up being wider than the ribbing, creating large cat ears. I recommend using a smaller hook for the body than the ribbing, so that the size difference is not as much. Using a smaller hook is optional though, and doesn't make a huge difference! You could also opt to not chain 1 between each granny stitch.
