Description
A small yellow pumpkin with big googly eyes, a French-knot face and a curly green leafstalk. The ribs are made with front post and back post double crochet, and the pumpkin shape comes from simple tightening stitches. Use it as Halloween, autumn or Thanksgiving decor, a gift topper or a little desk friend.
The finished pumpkin is about 7 cm (2.75 in) across and 5 cm (2 in) high without the leafstalk. Made with YarnArt Jeans (55% cotton, 45% polyacrylic, Sport weight) and 2.25 mm and 1.75 mm steel crochet hooks.
The pumpkin is worked in joined rounds, the eyes and leafstalk in a continuous spiral. Every stage has step-by-step photos, and there is a full video tutorial on YouTube. Skill level: easy.
