Create your own plant or storage basket with this beginner-friendly tutorial!

This pattern includes:

> a step by step tutorial with pictures to learn how to do the herringbone stitch crochet pattern that you will be able to use for any type of future project
> detailed instructions to crochet 2 different sizes baskets
> tips to customize easily the size and appearance of your basket

Important: this tutorial has been made with the beginner in mind but you need to know how to single crochet on a magic ring beforehand.

Pattern notes:

It is not necessary to use the same yarn as the one listed but you need to adapt the crochet size to your yarn and may check your gauge on a sample before starting the project.

The base of the basket is a circle built from sc on a MR continuously like a spiral (no need to close off the rounds with a slst), on a contrary the body is worked as closed rows.

Use a piece of scrap yarn to mark the beginning of each round of the spiral to not lose counts.
