Description
Meet Hilda the Highland Cow!
I'm sure Hilda will make a great addition to your amigurumi collection, and I hope you'll enjoy crocheting her as much as I did. This pattern includes options for making all kinds of different cows, depending on the materials you choose.
Size
The Highland cow/bull (both have horns but they differ slightly) will be approx. 4.7" tall (including horns) and 5.1" long if using the indicated hook and yarn weight.
Construction
The legs are crocheted onto the body. The ears, horns and head are sewn on. For the eyes, I used 5 mm safety eyes. The eyelids, nose and mouth are embroidered. The coat is crocheted separately and then sewn on. The pattern includes options for different kinds of coats, depending on which yarn you are using. There is also the option to make the cow without a coat and attach an alternative tail instead.
Special Techniques
A tutorial for the loop stitch is included in the pattern.
