This hat is great for beginners who want to make something else than those regular single crochet back loop only beanies (although very cute). The folded edge gives it that extra above ear vibe, or you can fold it down, however you like! Works great in winter with thicker yarn and in-between seasons with thinner yarn.

I bet a cotton option works well for a summer accessory and to prevent your scalp from burning!

This pattern uses the following techniques: half double crochet, magic circle, slip stitch, half double crochet back loop only.
