Description
In today’s tutorial, I’m showing you a professional finishing technique for your Tunisian crochet jumpers. We’ll be attaching a separately made, vertically crocheted slip stitch ribbing to the sleeve using a tidy slip stitch join.

The Technique
The secret to a well-fitted sleeve is getting the taper just right. I’ll demonstrate how to decrease the width of your sleeve at the same time as you attach the cuff. By picking up loops through the 5th and 6th stitches of the sleeve together before pulling them through the stitch of the cuff, we’ll seamlessly reduce our stitch count from 50 down to 44.

This method creates a beautifully gathered finish without any bulky or messy seams!

What’s Covered

How to align vertical slip stitch ribbing with your crochet sleeve.

The precise method for joining and decreasing simultaneously.

Keeping your tension consistent while slip-stitching the join.

Why slip stitch ribbing is the best choice for a knit-look aesthetic.
