The Ice Cream Cardigan is simple, effective design. Given the openness of the front this is more suited to late summer/autumn evenings or as a statement piece to compliment a full outfit. This garment works up very quickly and can be created in one colour as easily as it can in multiple colours as in the pictures above. Although this is a simple 3D stitch, the pattern would be lost if you used a variegated yarn that changes colours often and abruptly. However, a yarn that was slowly graduated could look incredible.
