Description
This pattern is for the Infinity, i.e., Figure 8, crochet cushion/throw pillow. It creates a typologically interesting mathematical symbol AND a very comfy body pillow!

This is a detailed pattern with instructions for every step, pictures showing key steps, and links to any necessary stitch tutorials.

The smaller version of the pattern (fidget toy) has been tested a group of 15 randomly chosen testers of different skill levels, and it can indeed be done by all!

The prototype in Figure 1 was done with worsted yarn (4) and a 5.5 mm hook, with filling.

Crochet terminology: US

Recommended hook size: 4 to 5.5

Yarn weight: 3 (light worsted), or 4 (worsted), or 5 (chunky)

Size of the finished object: ~40 to 60 cm length, depending on hook size and yarn thickness

Skill level:
- intermediate,
- double crochet
- ft. working in the round
- ft. increases and decreases

The crochet structure consists of a single closed crochet strip with a 360-degree twist, and 4 distinct sides: 2 half-donuts and two straight tubes connecting them. The first row starts at the inside of the 1st half-donut, continues onto the straight tube 1, then onto the outer side of the 2nd half-donut, and finishes with another straight tube. The crochet strip is in the end single crocheted or mattress-stitched together.
