This shark security blanket makes a quick, easy, and fun Christmas present to make! It can easily fit inside your childs stocking.
This shark lovey would make a wonderful addition to craft fair inventory for this holiday season.
It is an easy pattern to follow. Do you know a child who loves sharks? Look no further than this shark lovey. I also have Shark family that has an amigurumi pattern as well.
Layout:
All of my patterns feature the same consistent layout which is easy to read and understand in US American terms. It is easy to find all the information you need to make this project. It lists materials, gauge, size, pattern key, any special stitches, notes, and then the pattern instructions and assembly. The pattern includes photo tutorials throughout the pattern.

When you are finished, your cute shark security blanket should measure approximately 12" x 12" x 5 1/2".
Materials Needed:
Worsted Weight Yarn
HOOK: US J/10 6 mm; US G/6 4.0 mm
Polyfil
Yarn needle to weave in ends
Stitch markers
Safety eyes (optional)
Scissors
Pattern Key:
SC single crochet
HDC half double crochet
DC Double Crochet
TR treble crochet
Sc2tog single crochet decrease
Sl st slip stitch
FO finish off
St/sts stitch/stitches
Ch chain
Rnd(s) round(s)
MC magic circle

Notes:
Read through the entire pattern first.
Lovey blanket is done in rows.
Shark, fins, and tail are done in continuous rounds. Do NOT join while making each of them. Use stitch markers to know where your first stitch in the round is.
Sl St does not count as a stitch throughout the pattern.
Repeat stitches between * and * around.
Alternative to MC Ch 2; work number of SC specified in the 2nd chain from the hook.
Ch 4 counts as a treble crochet.
