This Jiji hat pattern is inspired by Jiji, the adorable little black cat from Kiki's Delivery Service, one of my favourite film by Studio Ghibli. It is also inspired by my very own pet cat Jiji who is an energetic and naughty little cutie!

This bucket hat pattern is beginner-friendly as it is worked in rounds and composed of half double crochet stitches and other basic stitches. This design also features a detachable collar accessory which allows you to easily customise the look of your hat to either look like a cat with a collar or without, according to what you feel like wearing on that day!

Note: You can also make a white version of this hat which represents Jiji's girlfriend Lily! A cute little white cat. Or just make the hat in any colour you would like for a cute cat hat.
