Description
This pattern has an interactive chart and also the written directions. There is also a 2 page PDF included, if wanted.
This pattern is for the keyboard keys. Add a round or two of sc and it can be a scarf. I put 3 inches around it. Imagine it as a couch cover, or a blanket.
I did add to mine and made it into a blanket. Love it!
I read, a standard keyboard has 61 keys , 36 white keys and 25 black keys . So I made this with 25 "black" keys. If you would prefer an 88 key piano scarf, there is another in my shop.
I made this as a custom keyboard cover for a friend. Too skinny and long for mine as you can see in the picture.
No explanation of how to change colors, or carry the yarn along until needed again.
I used Lion Brand Truboo bamboo yarn. It is a 3 weight yarn. I listed the colors used, but would recommend a darker purple, if using the silver background. I will make mine black and white. (original, I know.) Change the colors to what you are using and the interactive chart changes as well. Yay Ribblr!
Size can be adapted as needed. The length I ended up with was 56". To make it shorter, or longer, be sure to end with the set of 3 background color, then the "pink" border row. You can follow the pattern to make it longer. The rows of stitches around it added more length.
The size of the yarn and hook will change the final size.
Have fun with this. Share journals please.
Let me know if you have any questions.
