Description
This adorable ladybug blanket is an easy, quick blanket pattern to whip up anytime of the year. This lovely blanket is made in hexagon shape with joined rounds, and the spots are made in flat rounds sewed onto the blanket.
This lovely blanket would make an excellent picnic blanket for your littles as well as a play blanket inside the house for tummy time. My 8 year old uses this blanket to play with her baby dolls. This sweet blanket could also make an excellent photo prop blanket.

When you are finished, your blanket should measure approximately 34" x 34.5".
Materials Needed:
Worsted Weight Yarn
Hooks: US J/10 6 mm; US G/6 4.0 mm
Yarn Needle
Scissors
Pattern Key:
DC - Double Crochet
Ch - Chain
SC - Single Crochet
Sc2tog - Single Crochet Decrease
V-Stitch -(DC, Ch 2, DC) all in the same stitch/space
Sl st - Slip stitch
Rnd(s) - Round(s)
St(s) - stitch/stitches
Sp - space/spaces
MC - Magic Circle
Special Stitches:
Single Crochet Decrease (sc2tog):
Insert hook in the next stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop (2 loops on the hook).
Insert hook in the next stitch; yarn over and pull up a loop. (You should have 3 loops on your hook now.) Yarn over and pull through all 3 loops.
V-Stitch:
(DC, Ch 2, DC) all in the same stitch/space.
Notes:
Read through the entire pattern first.
The blanket and the spots are worked in joined rounds.
Beginning Ch 3 does count as your first double crochet in each round of the blanket part.
Ch 1 in the beginning of rounds of the spots does NOT count as a stitch.
Sl st does NOT count as a stitch throughout the pattern.
Alternative to MC - Ch 2; work number of SC specified in the 2nd chain from the hook.
