Note: I used yarn bee soft secret, and did not use all of both skeins. I just do not have a way to weigh out the yarn to give you an approximate amount I used. The amount of yarn used will change depending on what brand and size you use. Your hook size will also change depending on the yarn you use.Both of these changes will change the final size of the ladybug.

Note: I send thoughts and prayers to those of you who wish to attempt this with chenille yarn! If you do attempt this with chenille yarn, you will need far more yarn than you think you do.

Abbreviations:
st - stitch;
MR - magic ring
ch - chain;
sc - single crochet;
inc - increase (crochet 2 sc in one stitch);
dec - decrease (crochet 2 sc together);
sl st - slip stitch
