I made this pattern to thank a friend for a Polypay sheep fleece that she gave me from one of her flock. I hand spun a skein and dyed it blue and designed this scarf for her. The skein was darker than I had hoped so bought a lace weight white wool to knit together with it to try to soften it, but as I knit it, it turned out to be a stark marled blue and white. I went ahead and knit the scarf using the Daisy Shetland design I used on my Daisy Rectangular Shaw, placing the daisy up the middle of the scarf. When I washed it, the blue bled on the white wool which made the white yarn a light blue and that had a lightening effect. It still had a marled effect but much lighter and was pretty :).
