Description
The Lucky Shirt was inspired by a look on the show Emily in Paris on Netflix. Using Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton makes it not only classy in color, but also durable in wear. The crochet technique used minimizes ends while giving the illusion of a checkerboard with stripes.
Body of shirt is made in panels and seamed. Then, sleeves, bottom & neckband ribbing is added.
This shirt is designed with 8" of positive ease. Amount of positive ease will depend on where you fall within the size range: model is 5'3" with 34" bust, wearing size S.
To switch colors, pull through last stitch with new color for a less visible transition. Stripes consist of two rows.
Starting chains only count as a stitch during the checkered" pattern.
When slip stitching the border and sleeve edging, make sure its done on the wrong side.
If you would like a reference to make sure youre on the right track the body should have 25 (29, 35, 39, 45)(49, 55, 59, 65) boxes," shoulders should have 6 (8, 11, 13, 16)(18, 21, 23, 26) boxes" and all sizes have 13 boxes" for the neckline.
