Description
This sweet, unique crochet Bonnet consists of Granny Squares, a Ribbed Border and Hem, as well as ties that can be knotted below the chin! It makes the perfect headwear accessory for a brisk autumn, winter, or even a chilly summer night. Mix up your style and try a trendy handmade bonnet in place of a hat!
Materials Needed: 4.0mm hook, 4.5mm hook, Weight 3 or Weight 4 Acrylic or Synthetic Yarn, Scissors, Darning Needle, Stitch Markers (optional)
Stitches and Skills to Know: chain, single crochet magic circle, half double crochet, slip stitch, back loop only
This Bonnet is named after my sweet diabetic cat, Mila (pictured), who has gone through a year of health complications and a series of underlying conditions. All proceeds from this pattern will go to her medical expenses. Dealing with the stress of Mila's health has led us to a lot of emotional and financial strain, but it also encouraged me to crochet more to unwind from all that we'd be dealing with. Crocheting is always our favorite time to snuggle on the couch and keep each other company while watching movies. I knew I always wanted to name a pattern after my kitty, and it seemed an imperfectly perfect time as any, to experiment and design a new pattern that could then in turn serve as a fundraiser for us.
I really appreciate all support, and just hope you enjoy this adorable pattern I've worked so hard on!
