Use almost any yarn! This pattern has been graded for 4ply, sport and DK weight yarns so that you can bust some stash and make a beautiful, textured mini scarf perfect for all seasons from less than a single skein!
Pattern Inspiration
'Milho' means sweetcorn in Portuguese. We moved to Portugal a few years ago and since arriving we've eaten lots of traditional breads and things made from sweetcorn. My girls and I love it! And so this mini scarf pays homage to the humble sweetcorn. I think the little moss stitch motifs look just like corn on the cob!
A gorgeous, beginner-friendly pattern that is fun to knit and works up quickly. The scarf is worked flat from tip to tip with a series of increases to shape the first tip, then a section knitted straight before decreases shape the second point. This min scar can be tied in a variety of ways and makes an elegant accessory for day and evening.
This pattern has been tech edited and test knitted.
Yarn: 4ply (sport) DK weight yarn. You will need approximately 50 (55) 60g or 200 (150) 140m (220 (165) 150yards) of each yarn weight.
Needles: 3.25 (3.5) 4mm needles (US 3 (4) 6)
Gauge: 42 (39) 36 sts and 38 (35) 32 rows / 10cm in stitch pattern after blocking
