Description
Mini pangolin / scaly anteater
Have you ever wished you could have your own little pangolin buddy? Well now you can! This pattern is no sew, and works up quickly! Perfect for gifts or market prep!
What is a pangolin? A pangolin is a type of anteater. lt is not a reptile, it is a mammal. It is covered in scales. Even the bottom of their tail is covered in scales. And the scales up on their head are smaller then the scales on their back. There are even tiny scales on the chin. The pangolin can be as small as 3.5 lbs or up to 73 lb, depending on the species.
What does a pangolin eat? Ants! but if they are a baby then they can get picky about if they eat ants or ant eggs, and if they get a bad taste, they will stick their whole entire, super long tongue out and squeeze wherever their bad taste is. They live in burrows, but sometimes they go up to trees to hang in the branches and they hang like laundry on the tree branch.
Where do pangolins live? They are native to Africa and Southern Asia. Pangolins live in grassy areas.
Why should a pangolin matter to you? Because they are endangered. We have to save them. They are captured and killed for their meat and scales. Some people want to use their scales for superstitious, and medicinal uses. The pangolin is the world's most trafficked mammal. A pangolin is a piece of our world. it keeps the ecosystem in balance.
