Description
The scarlet macaw is native to the jungles of South america. They thrive eating jungle fruits, seeds, nuts, and plants. Macaws routinely live 40-50 years in the wild, but have been known to live up to 75 years in captivity.
Scarlet macaws are not endangered, although in some areas, their populations have been declining. The main reasons for the population decline is due to wild birds being captured for the pet trade, and habitat loss.
The scarlet macaw is one of the largest parrot species in the world, measuring 36 inches from head to tail.

This pattern is part of my south American pattern pack.

Pattern difficulty- intermediate. It takes a few different stitches, and orienting the wings and small parts can be a bit challenging. Many close color changes.

** This pattern belongs to me, I spent a lot of time and effort to make it. I invite you to use what you make for yourself, to gift, for selling, and be sure to give me credit for the pattern, but DO NOT resell/ share/claim this pattern as your own. **
