The mini wind spinner is a beginner-friendly pattern that works up quickly and is perfect for scraps. Hang with a bit of string or a swivel hook to really help it spin.

I used a medium-weight, acrylic yarn for this pattern so that I would get more stiffness and durability for outdoor use. If you want to hang this inside and you aren't particularly worried about it spinning, you can use whatever type of yarn and gauge that makes you happy.

I strung together crystal beads to attach to the bottom, but you could add a tassel or anything else that might catch the light. Old chandelier crystals, wire-wrapped stones, sea glass... you can really get creative!
