This snake was supposed to be my 200 follower snake, but I was finishing another snake. This took me a long time to make and I hope you like this pattern!!
--Snake Lore-- (I will make Sharpscale and Zazivu soon!!!)
Veilwind grew up in a family of seven. She was the middle child. Her parents were both very poor, and her younger siblings were very needy, her older siblings supported the family. Her dream was to become an assassin, or a hunter. Her parents said. "No Veilwind, that task is too mighty, even for you. I know you have big dreams, but those jobs are for the rich Chazmaks." Veilwind often sat in her corner of the alleyway, that they lived in, thinking about how rich she could be if she took down a wanted criminal, or slaying a Starstag. But she knew that she could never do that.
When the time of her daily class came, she slithered to school, thinking about ways to become her dreams without money. She bumped into a dark, red snake. "Oy watch it ya' little rat. I have studeis' to atten' to. An' I cant have an' one botherin' me." Veilwind scowled at the snake. "I didn't bother you, and I have studies to attend to to!" Veilwind spat at the snake and scowled even more. She slithered quicker, with her bookbags rattling with her books in them. She stopped and looked back at the snake. A glob of spit was dripping down her face. "Oh, and by the way, your accent is terrible." Veilwind giggled loudly. "Wow sneaky littel' spittin' cobra ar' yew.' "The red snake frowned and continued on. "By the way, your studies are over there, at the zoo. Hah ah ha." "Auugh Shut Up! I hat' yew' enough littel' rat." Veilwind continued on, with at nasty smile. "Ahh everyone knows not to mess with the weak, insecure, soft lil' Natureborne. Or they will pay the price. Veilwind felt content with her life, even though she was poor. She slithered pass a sketchy marketplace. A rusty, old sigh was hanging on some ropes tied in between houses. It read: "Deadrow trade." "That is the perfect place for me. Hopefully an assassin trainer or a hunter trainer will be there."
Veilwind smirked as she slithered into the market. "Who needs useless history class when you have an assassin trainer to train you." Veilwind passed a rare gem trader and his shop. "Care for a shine little lady?" "Nah I don't. Oh do you know where I could find a hunter or assassin trainer?" The serpent smiled. "You've come to the right place little lady, I am Sharpscale. And I know a thing or two about blood and knives. They're very useful around these parts. Most of my gems were fought for." "Well can you train me?" Sharpscale leaned against a wall. "Nothing comes free little lady. My teachings come at a high price." "How much." "fifty Gaigoasas." Veilwind was shocked. "That is too much I don't have that kind of money." "Well you can always learn how to pickpocket the rich ones." "How can I learn?" "Well since you are so eager to learn my ways. The first day of learning to pickpocket will be free. You owe me one hundred Gaigoasas by tomorrow. If you don't come to my shop by seven, then you are going to pay. With your hide." Veilwind was still eager to learn all of Sharpscale's ways. "Alright you have a deal. Start training me now!" "Alright ya' little spoiled mouse let's start."
Veilwind now knew how to pickpocket with ease by the end of the day, she then returned home to her mother and father. Her younger siblings were sleeping because they were so starved. "And how was your day at history class Veilwind?" Veilwind hid her money that she collected on the way home inside her bookbags. "It was alright, they had frozen street rats for lunch today. We learned uh, about the discovery of Valarya." "Wonderful, it is a good thing you are not hungry as your siblings. They are starved." Veilwind's little brother, Zazivu woke up from his nap. "Did you bwing us anwy fwood Veelwend?" "No sorry Zaz', there is no food." "Then why aw you bwookbags jingling?" "Oh those, um, I uh, found some things on the street that cost a lot of Gaigoasas, they were some rings and necklaces. And I turned them in, looks like I got a lot of money for it. Heh." Veilwind's mother was surprised of the sudden Gaigoasas. "Hm rare that there are random pieces of jewelry on the street. Usually some thugs snatched them before anyone could get their tails on them. Whatever, at least you got us some Gaigoasas." Veilwind smiled and dumped her out her bookbags. Gaigoasas were scattered among the ground. They were like circular, iridescent crystals that never lost their shine. Zazivu has never seen anything like those before. "They are very pretty, right Zazivu." Zazivu was so cultivated by the Gaigoasa's shine that he couldn't think. " They aw pwetty Veelwend. Now our famiwy can get fwood!" Veilwind remembered about her deal with Sharpscale. She knew that if she did not pay him the money, she would be killed. "These are my Gaigoasas, so I will get any food I want." Zazivu was sad now. "Aww, bwut I wanted ded stweet wats." "Don't worry Zaz, we are going to get a tastier and higher quality meal tomorrow for dinner." "Ow kawy." Zazivu laid back down. "Thank you Veilwind for buying us food with your Gaigoasas. It was the right thing to do." 'Thanks mother." Veilwind slithered to her corner of their alleyway. She sat and thought about her choices.
Veilwind went to sleep, the next morning, she slithered quickly to Deadrow trade. Avoiding her mother and siblings. On her way there. she left a note on her bed. "The best and highest quality meals happen at the earliest times." Veilwind arrived at Deadrow trade and quickly slithered to Sharpscale's tent. "I came with your Gaigoasas Sharpscale, are you happy now." "I sure am Veilwind, you are a very good student. Today we will be learning the basics in killin'" "Perfect. I want to be a poison assassin, and a bow-using hunter." Sharpscale slitherd to his tent and unveiled the curtains. "Come on in, there I will teach you to learn some poison tricks." "ok, make them good Sharpscale."
Sharpscale trained Veilwind all day. Veilwind was a fast learner. She memorized all the deadly potions, all the ability-giving potions, and all the healing potions, and how to make them. "You learn quick Veilwind. I sense that your family wants you home now. Tomorrow, bring me twenty Gaigoasas. You can use some of the tricks I taught you to kill the rich snakes today with your deadly potions. " "Ok Sharpscale, thank you." Veilwind slithered off towards her home. She pickpocketed most of all the snakes she saw on her way home. She remembered about her other deal towards her family to bring food. She thought of a plan.
"Mother, siblings. Someone has stolen my Gaigoasas this morning. I couldn't buy any food for you, but at least I got some street rats, like Zazivu wanted." "Oh dearie, oh child, it is okay. At least Zazivu got experience the shine of a Gaigoasa coin." Veilwind splashed water on her face and fake cried to make it look somewhat obvious that she was sad about it. She dumped five street rats on the ground. Her siblings gobbled them up hastily.
That night, Veilwind sat on her straw bed thinking about her family and Sharpscale. Thoughts were racing through her head, she looked up at the stars, and drifted to sleep. She had frightful dreams about her killing innocent snakes here and there. One of those snakes was the red serpent that she bumped into two days ago. She had another dream about her standing in a circle of flames. And a dark-eyed Spriritborne was in front of her. The Spiritborne spoke with a horrid voice, sounding like a evil spirit mixed with a normal young female snake's voice. "You have no idea what you have chosen as your destiny Veilwind." Veilwind was awakened and gasped for air. "Augh, phew that was only a dream." She went back to sleep.
In a week's time, Veilwind was already an apprentice in being an assassin and a novice in being a hunter. She knew the basics on how to handle a bow. She grew more selfish because of Sharpscales' influence on her. A streak of dark purple echoed across her scales. Her eyes glowed black for a moment, and she smiled.
Veilwind decied to move on with her life. She announced that she was moving out of her home in the alleyway, and will be looking for a job as an apprentice. Her mother agreed. And they all said their goodbyes. Veilwind went strait for Deadrow trade. Sharpscale was at his shop as usual, polishing a knife, and boxing it. "Hello master Sharpscale! What can I do for you today?" "Well you can start by shooting the targets I set up for your hunter abilities. "Ok" Veilwind grabbed her bow, and a quiver of arrows, and started shooting the targets with master precision. After she hit all the targets, another purple streak danced across her scales. They reached her eyes, and she cackled with her black eyes. And started shooting all the targets again. Hitting the first arrows, and splitting them. Sharpscale stopped preparing his orders, and looked over at Veilwind. "Okay that is enough. Stop at once, you are wasting arrows." Veilwind looked over at Sharpscale and growled. She strung her bow, ready to shoot Sharpscale. "Woah, easy Veilwind, remember who pays you for your work." Veilwind's eyes became normal again and she let go of her bow. "I have no Idea what happened Sharpscale, I am sorry of that." "That is fine, now start sorting yesterdays potions. Veilwind slithered inside the tent, and started rearranging the potions based on what they do. She was thinking about how Sharpscale was not intimidated by her new ability. It turns out, while Veilwind was working the day before, she broke a vial, containing a rare ingredient that could only be obtained from a Blackfang. A Blackfang heart. In the vial, it was smashed and turned into a dark purple liquid, that when met with scales. Turned the snake into a fearsome Serpent, that could take the form of anyone who they kill. But it takes mastery to control that ability.
When the day was done, Veilwind slept in a hammock, near Sharpscale's shop. Sharpscale slept inside his tent. Veilwind had an uneasy night. She twisted and turned, and soon her scales shifted purple again, and her black eyes opened. She panted and growled. She was off to kill someone.
Veilwind woke up late. She slithered to the Sharpscale's shop, she asked Sharpscale about her weird dream. "Do you have any idea what it means Sharpscale?" "Well bad news: Valkarthra's sister, Shaederea was mysteriously killed last night. And your dream sounds like you killed her. But that couldn't have happened, you were sleeping." "That only means, that my dreams are visions! I had another dream a couple of weeks ago, saying that I killed many snakes including her, and that there was a circle of fire, and a teal Spiritborne was talking to me about. I have no idea what I have chosen as my destiny, or something like that." "Oh no, that can only mean that you have gotten into my Blackfang heart vial." "What does it do?" "No time to explain, we need to find a cure for this before it gets out of hand."
Sharpscale was slithering frantically, trying to find any ingredients that would take away the ability. Veilwind was scared. Another echo of dark purple raced across her scales. Her eyes blackened and she slithered off. Sharpscale tried to stop her. But she was already gone. Veilwind gathered up all of the Deadrow merchants and thugs, and paid them a hefty deal to rain fire on the kingdom. Veilwind slithered back to Shaederea's body, and cut off her head. She then put that head on her head. As a trophy. She came back to Deadrow trade. "We shall reign fire on these pitiful snakes and declare war." Most of the Deadrow traders were tired of the Uthraraz's rule over their city. As Veilwind said that, her body suddenly turned maroon and it was like she turned into Shaederea. It was by sunset, that they traveled to the palace.
When they arrived, all of the archers got on top of the roofs, surrounding the palace. There was a celebration, celebrating the return of Etharkenari's brother. All of the kingdom cheered and hissed and thumped their tails. Etharkenari and her brother slithered onto the balcony. Suddenly, Veilwind's scales turned back to green, and she cried. "What am I doing." Etharkenari's brother announced his arrival, and his new job, as prince of the kingdom. When he finished, the kingdom cheered for them. Etharkenari's brother noticed Veilwind. She flipped behind the rooftop, her scales were again, echoing purple. She turned back into Shaederea, and slitherd back up the roof, and yelled : "Anka Uratz Vrbat." She grabbed her bow, and delivered a powerful shot at Etharkenari. Instantly killing her. All of the archers shot up at the sky, and merchants lit explosives. The kingdom was in shock. Etharkenari's brother dragged her into the palace. Veilwind shifted back into her regular form, and threw off Shaederea's head. "I caused this. That makes me a murderer." Veilwind sobbed and slithered off the roof...
