This pattern makes a box that contains one standard dice set, and each of these boxes can be attached together to make an ever-growing tower for an ever-growing dice collection. Only the top box needs a lid since the boxes close each other off neatly, but they do fit together if each layer has a lid.

To make this dice box, knowledge of the thermal stitch and attaching buttons using the thread shank method are crucial. The thermal stitch is used to make this dice box extra secure for the dice, so even the most precious dice will be safe in these boxes. The thread shank method for attaching buttons makes it easier to put the lid on and take it off.

This pattern is very low sew: only the buttons on the outside need to be attached.
