Description
The Monterey Dreams Afghan is luxuriously soft & oh so comforting! It is 59" x 69" and works wonderfully for cuddling with a loved one! The size is easy to customize if you desire. The pattern is beginner friendly and is clearly written with step by step instructions as well as lots of photos. One thing I love about this afghan is that it doesn't need a border so it's a pretty quick project! You're welcome to put a border on it if you'd like to, but I specifically designed this afghan so that the beginning & ending rows are ribbed to give it a very finished look so that no border is needed. I am happy to help if you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out. I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I did! Have fun!

Materials
Yarns
2800 yards (approx 43 oz) worsted weight #4 yarn. I used Lion Brand Mandala Ombre in the color Mantra. This is a really great choice of yarn for an afghan because it‘s beautiful, very soft and is machine wash and dry. This pattern will work with any yarn that you choose, even a different weight of yarn will work great but if you do use a different weight of yarn and/or different size hook, the size will come out different than my pattern sample so you‘ll need to calculate your gauge for that yarn and hook, and consider what size you want the afghan to be.
Hooks
5.5mm
Other
6” long piece of cardboard or any similar flat item to use for tassel making Tapestry needle (for weaving in ends), scissors
