Say hello to Mortimer the mole. Mortimer can be very cheeky, he says that he would like to help, but everything always ends up much messier than when it began. Mortimer is a great friend though and he’ll always be there to listen to you.

Mortimer is a little mole wearing a removable cable jumper (fastened with a button), shorts and shoes. Instructions for his little wire glasses are also included in the pattern. Mortimer can stand up and sit down and so he is very easy to pose.

This is an advanced level pattern, good crochet knowledge is required. The pattern includes detailed step by step instructions and pictures to help you.

Using the materials suggested this mole measures 21cm (8 1/4 in) tall. Any yarn can be used with this pattern with an appropriate size crochet hook to create a tight tension, although other yarns may affect the size of the finished mole. Suggested materials: DK (8ply) 100% cotton yarn, 2.5mm crochet hook, toy stuffing and 9mm safety eyes.
