This absolutely adorable mushroom bookmark pattern adds a cute cottagecore aesthetic to your reading!

The mushroom is made like an amigurumi, and then a chain string and tassel are added to make it a bookmark.

This pattern includes both mushroom types--the domed red cap mushroom and the flat-topped tan mushroom.

There is no gauge to this pattern, but the finished mushroom is about 3/4 inches tall and the string is about 10 inches long. The string size is entirely customizable, so you can make it as long or short as you want.

This pattern requires knowledge of magic loops, chaining, slip stitches, and single crochet stitches. It is worked in continuous rounds. It is beginner-friendly, but working with crochet thread and small hooks can be difficult for beginners, so keep that in mind if you're new to using crochet thread.

You'll need a 2mm crochet hook and about 5 yards of red or tan size 10 crochet thread, 8 yards of off white size 10 crochet thread, and 1 yard of black size 10 crochet thread. You'll also need a needle (I use a sharp embroidery needle, not a yarn needle) to weave the ends in and add the black lines to the stem, poly-fil or other stuffing to fill the mushroom, and scissors.
