A fun Granny Square pattern that can be cottage-core, psychedelic, or quaint, depending on your color choices. Use this pattern to make tops, bags, blankets, or whatever your creativity calls for! All photos are before blocking.

It is made by creating an appliqué pattern and building the granny square around it. You can easily substitute yarn type and use the appropriately sized hook, it will simply change the size of the granny square.

I use the seamless join method in this pattern, but you can substitute it with finishing the round with a slip stitch. I also do not ch 1 for height at the beginning of a single crochet row, but if that works better for you, please feel free to do so. The photos attached to the pattern steps are done in a color I thought it would be easier to see in pictures.
