Pattern can be completed in any hook size. The smaller the hook, the smaller the turtle.

I do recommend sizing down 2 or 2.5 hook sizes from recommended to avoid holes on the turtle.

For reference, I used Loops and Threads Skinny Chenille yarn which calls for a 6.5 mm hook, so I crochet the turtle using a 4.0 mm hook.
