Description
Hello, and thank you so much for purchasing this pattern! This is for all my fellow crybabies and babygirls (gn) <3 I originally designed this pattern as a cute outfit for the Barbie movie lol, so it has strong Y2K and Barbie vibes.

It includes TWO heart-shaped designs: Cry Baby and Babygirl <3
PLEASE NOTE that the charts included here are specifically designed to look good in the round. If you'd like to use these designs as tapestries, I highly recommend getting the separate tapestry patterns for these designs instead, OR the bundle which comes with the two tapestry patterns and this raglan pattern at a discount.

The pattern is quite advanced as it involves techniques like changing colors, following colorwork charts, and working in the round. It uses single crochet throughout and it is a made-to-measure top, meaning you will be using your measurements to create the top. This means the width and length are entirely customizable, though the heart design will need to be centered. The pattern will guide you through how to do this.

The pattern can be followed by both right-handed and left-handed individuals.

The name of this pattern + the bundle is courtesy of @oshirichang <3

I want to thank each and every one of my amazing testers <3

Materials
Yarns
The amounts listed are based on sport / light worsted-weight yarn. While you can recreate the top with any yarn you want, I really recommend using sport or DK weight as this will provide the best texture and weight for a top. Note that if you choose to use other yarn weights, the yardage below may not be accurate. You can look at my testers‘ AMAZING pieces in the lookbook under the Pattern Notes - they include their measurements and estimated yardage, so you can have a better sense of how much yarn you may need for different body sizes, fits, and looks. The yardage of the total top will depend on how wide and long you want to make it.

For me, I used a total of 6 skeins of Hobbii Friends Cotton 8/6 yarn (Cranberry color, code 42, 50g, 105m per skein). I went for a very fitted and cropped look, and usually wear S/M (36” bust, 27” waist). This also includes the yardage for the design, but for reference: 50m for the baby girl design, 50m for the crybaby design.

I recommend that larger sizes get around 10 skeins (or equivalent in yardage). If you want a long top, I recommend around 12 skeins.
34m of white yarn for the crybaby design.
36m of white yarn for the babygirl design.
(Hobbii Rainbow Cotton, 002)
60m of light pink yarn for the crybaby design
56m of light pink yarn for the babygirl design
(Hobbii Rainbow Cotton, 062)
OPTIONAL -> if you‘d like to add a furry/fuzzy hem on the edges, I used about 20m of fuzzy yarn.
Hooks
3-3.5mm crochet hook or equivalent to the yarn weight you choose, but I recommend using a hook that is 1 size (1mm) smaller for a tight stitch.
Tools
Stitch markers - these are optional, but can be used to mark stitches or mark the end/start of a round if you have trouble keeping track. Yarn needle and scissors to weave in ends.
