This Octopus Plushie is a very easy, very quick make and you can experiment with all sorts of yarn and colors. Also, this is a NO-SEW PATTERN! (We all love those)

Materials you'll need:

Your favorite plushie yarn/hook combo -- you'll need about 30-40 yards of yarn
Safety eyes (or you can embroider them)
Scissors
Tapestry Needle
Polyester Filling

Terms/Techniques used in the pattern:

Magic Ring
Chain Stitch
Single Crochet
Half-Double (US) / Half-Treble (UK)
Increase (2 SC in same stitch)
Invisible Decrease
Slip Stitch
Basic Sewing
Basic Embroidery (optional)

Additional Notes: Feel free to use whichever yarn/hook combo youd like! Just be aware that it will affect the size of the plushie.
