Description
This classy old school retro necktie takes advantage of the tapering effect created by chevron stitch. The necktie is worked in two separate sections for symmetry, then joined at the back of the neck with 3-needle bind-off. Decreases flow organically within the pattern so that the necktie fits nicely under a button-down collar. A crisp dk weight yarn with some drape makes this tie appropriate for the office; necktie pictured is knit in Elsebeth Lavold's Hempathy, but try a bamboo blend like Universal Yarns Bamboo Pop in Sand 110 or a linen blend like Berroco Chai for similar results. It's a quick Father's Day gift that Dad might actually wear!
