This absolutely adorable paw print bookmark pattern is the perfect addition to your reading!

The paw print has two pieces made separately and sewn together and then a chain string and tassel are added to make it a bookmark.

There is no gauge to this pattern, but the finished paw print is about 1 inch tall and the string is about 10 inches long. The string size is entirely customizable, so you can make it as long or short as you want.

This pattern requires knowledge of magic loops, chaining, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet stitches. I would classify it as an intermediate pattern.

You'll need a 2mm crochet hook and about 30 yards of size 10 crochet thread and 2 yards of worsted weight yarn. The crochet thread is the paw color and the worsted weight yarn is the paw pad color, so feel free to customize the colors. You'll also need a needle (I use a sharp embroidery needle, not a yarn needle) to weave the ends in, poly-fil or other stuffing to fill the paw print, scissors, and possibly needlenose pliers (to pull the embroidery needle through the paw print when creating the pads).
