Hello!
The Peekaboo Petal Skirt is a bodycon skirt originally designed in July 2021. This skirt is inspired by a popular Pinterest beach cover up. After trying three different methods to make a bodycon skirt, I finally found one that fit well. However, this pattern is made to measure, so I will include instructions that may help in tailoring the sizing to you!
This is my first successful attempt at a skirt, and I’m excited to walk you through this! The techniques are simple; with knowledge of how to take your own measurements, how to crochet to those measurements, how to crochet in the round, and very basic hand sewing and crochet skills, you’ll be able to recreate this skirt to your specific (and personalized) size in under a week! (*This is an approximation because I’m a very slow crocheter lol)
Before we get started, here’s some things you need to know: the model is wearing a size small/medium. The skirt is 14 inches long, the waist measurement is 28 inches, and the widest part of the hips can stretch to 34 inches. This pattern is written in US terms and uses inches only.
Level of difficulty: confident beginner
Sizing: This skirt is customized to size, and includes suggestions for tailoring it to yourself. It is written to be made fitted, but there are instructions to make it looser as well.
Care Instructions:
-Wash cold with like colors
-Gentle cycle
-Lay flat to dry in a space with good ventilation
-Reshape if needed
