Description
I named this guy Phineas the great blue Sea Star because that's the only name that I think captures how much i love this design.
Pattern is in English and uses US Terminology
Abbreviations
Sc: single crochet
Inc: increase- sc twice into the same stitch
Dec: decrease- sc two stitches together
MR: magic ring
MC: main color
FO: fasten off
Ch: chain
Notes:
● Because there is a lot of variation when it comes to weight 4 yarn, be careful when choosing your baby velvet. For example, I have used Bernat Baby Velvet and Baby Crushed Velvet, both of which were either thinner or the same thickness as the worsted yarn I paired them with. If you use a thicker velvet, this leads to a change in shape-- the velvet portion ends up cupping around the worsted section.
● The body of the sea star is worked in continuous rounds, but each arm is worked in rows
