Description

Even though I've known how to crochet for several years now, it's only been about a year since I learned how to Tunisian crochet. Like with regular crochet, I quickly became absorbed with this new fiber art and couldn't believe how versatile it was! This hood combines one of the very first stitches I ever learned in Tunisian crochet, along with a color changing technique that results in a complicated and intricate looking fabric, but is actually simple to make. Please note that you will need an interchangeable Tunisian hook with different cable lengths as this hood can't be made with a fixed length Tunisian hook.

Materials
Yarns
Hobbii Friends Extra Fine Merino (sport weight) 180 yds / 1.8 oz held with Hobbii Friends Kid Silk (lace weight) 218 yds / 0.9 oz
(other suggested yarns include Katia Merino Baby, Lana Grossa Merino Superiore, or Drops Baby Merino held with Drops Kid Silk, Debbie Bliss Angel, or Mayflower Super Kid Silk but a single strand of DK weight yarn should work)

If you‘re combining 2 yarns (sport weight wool held with lace weight mohair), you‘ll need the following amounts for each of the yarns where C1 is the color for the face ribbing and C2 is the color used for the bottom ribbing. If you‘re using 1 strand of DK weight yarn, the amounts are the same as the ones listed below:
C1: 220 yds (320 yds)
C2: 240 yds (380 yds)
Hooks
K/6.5 mm Tunisian crochet hook with a 28 in cable or any other hook needed to obtain the gauge and a I/5.5 mm regular crochet hook for the ribbing
