Description
The Poppy Lovey is one of my favorite patterns I've ever come up with, because it was designed for my baby girl! It is so soft, drapey, and even designed with cotton yarn so it's washable, which is ideal for little ones. Each granny square is 6" and the finished lovey is approximately 14". It is the perfect size for newborns to snuggle and lightweight for summer babies.
I designed this lovey to be made up of two unique granny square designs, attached together with an added border. It is suitable for those have a solid understanding of basic crochet stitches, so best for intermediate crocheters. It would make a beautiful handmade gift for a new little one in your life, or if you'd rather, you could take the granny square design and make it into a full sized blanket or other project!
