Description
Is your porch goose feeling a little witchy? Crochet them a witch's hat and cape to dress them up in style this halloween!
My porch goose crochet patterns have been designed and tested to fit a goose with a head circumference of approximately 8" (around the head where the hat will sit). Most specifically, these designs were made for the 24" tall ceramic porch goose available in Joann stores in early 2025.
This pattern is of intermediate difficulty. G (4.25mm), and E (3.50mm) hooks, and worsted weight yarn (35 yards for hat, 220 yards for cape) are required to complete this project. Armature wire is recommended for the hat brim. This pattern includes two options for attaching the hat securely to the goose: crocheted ties or 1/4" elastic, sewn into place.
