Description

A plump, ribbed pumpkin for autumn, Halloween and Thanksgiving decor. It is crocheted in one piece with a brown stem, filled with glass granules so it sits steadily, shaped with six tightenings, and tinted with dry pastel for a natural look.

The finished pumpkin is about 8 cm (3.1 in) across and 5 cm (2 in) high. Made with a fluffy yarn such as Alize Angora Real 40 held double (or Kartopu held double, or Nako Alaska single) and a 2 mm crochet hook.

The pumpkin is worked in continuous spiral rounds with the right side out. Every step has photos, and there is a video tutorial on YouTube. Skill level: easy.
