Description
Hi, and thanks for checking out my pumpkin duck pattern! This pattern involves a moderate amount of sewing and knowledge of basic crochet stitches, as well as some more intermediate stitches. This pattern is customizable, particularly in the colors used, the curly leaf length, and whether you want to add wings and feet! There are step-by-step instructions to create each part of the body, as well as some photo guides to assist with placement and techniques. This also comes with a downloadable PDF!
Materials Used (Customizable this is just what I used!):
- Bernat Blanket Brights in Carrot Orange, Bernat Baby Blanket in Misty Jungle Green, and Big Twist Plush in Cardamom (use any yarn or colors you prefer! I stuck with classic orange, green, and brown)
- 6.5 mm hook (use any hook appropriate to the yarn size you choose)
- 22mm safety eyes (choose the appropriately-sized safety eyes for your plushie or embroider them on!)
- Darning needle (to sew pieces together)
Optional:
- Something to pin the pieces together to make sewing easier (I used knitting needles, but you can use amigurumi sticks, safety pins, stitch markers, sewing pins, or just sew it on!)
- Stitch markers (very helpful to keep track of stitch count, but not required)
Crochet Stitches/Techniques Used:
- BLO = back loop only
- FLO = front loop only
- FO = fasten off
- MR = Magic Ring
- ch = Chain
- dc = double crochet
- dc2tog = double crochet 2 together
- dec = decrease
- hdc = half double crochet
- inc = increase
- RND = round
- sc = single crochet
- slst = slip stitch
- st = stitch
- sts = stitches
- tog = together
- tr = treble crochet
- tr2tog = treble crochet 2 together
- yo = yarn over
