This cute rainbow drops Jumper is worked from the top down in one piece, made using a round of dc stitch, then chains and sc for the next round. It's quick and easy to work up with no sewing involved apart from the ends.

If using a main colour and contrasting colour I would estimate that you would need 3/4 main colour and 1/4 for contrasting colour eg: 400 metres would be 300 metre main and 100 metre contrasting colour.
