Description
Riscas Vest Crochet Pattern

The Riscas Vest is a made-to-measure crochet pattern inspired by everyday comfort and the slow joy of handmade clothing. "Riscas" means "stripes" in Portuguese, a nod to the playful lines in the design and my home here in Porto, where this piece was dreamed up.

This vest is perfect for layering through changing seasons and adding personality to any outfit. It's simple to make, beginner-friendly, and easy to customize in both size and color, whether you love bright, clashing tones or subtle neutrals.

You don't need to follow strict rules. The pattern is written in clear steps with guiding photos, using only basic stitches, so you can follow along with confidenceeven if you're still new to crochet.

You'll get:
a detailed, easy-to-follow PDF
photo support for key steps
made-to-measure instructions so it fits you perfectly
yarn and hook suggestions based on what I used

You will need:
Yarn: double-knit weight yarn, or choose any yarn that works well for tapestry crochet.
I´ve used Tandem from West Wool, around 300-400 grams of yarn for the size M, but it can vary on your size and tension. This pattern works best with 3 or more colors!!

Hook: 3.50 mm (or a different size that matches your yarn and achieves the correct gauge).

Other tools: measuring tape, scissors, tapestry needle, stitch markers (optional).

This design is part of my ongoing wish to make clothes that feel good to wear and are kind to make. I believe in slow fashion, in rest, and in using our hands to feel more grounded in the world.

I'd love to see your version of it. Tag me on Instagram @nastja.crochets if you share. And if you sell your handmade vests, crediting me as the designer is always appreciated.
