Description
The Rose Socks are inspired by Rose Nylund of the Golden Girls. played by the legendry Betty White, I cast these on in honor of her on her 100th birthday.
They got me through the sadness of loosing Betty and I think of her everytime I see them. Rose has always been my favorite Golden Girl. Between her naiveite, sweetness, competitive spirit, and at times out of nowhere will hit you with a one-liner that with knock your socks off. The colors I chose for the sock is inspired from one of my favorite Rose dresses in the episode where Rose dances in a dance competition.
The lace is a sweet, elegant pattern that is simple to memorize and when complete is a stunning finished product that looks like you slaved away making it.
The socks are knit cuff down. The front of the sock is lace while the back is stockinette. the pattern comes with directions for a German Short Row Heel but it is easily enough to replace with an afterthought heel or Fishlips Kiss heel. The instructions are written for Magic Loop but I also give help on how to use DPN’s or 9" circulars.
I hope you enjoy knitting this pattern as much as I did designing it. Don’t forget to follow me on instargram @crystalteaknits to be the first to know about upcoming pattern releases and coupon codes.
