Welcome to my Santa's Chocolate Hat pattern! This hat is designed to decorate a chocolate bar as a Christmas present, but you can adapt it to cover other goodies such as candies or dress the head of a doll or bear. It also makes the perfect stocking stuffer! This pattern is written for any size yarn/gauge so you can play with different combinations of yarn and dig through your stash for scrap yarn. I hope you have fun letting your imagination fly!

Sizing:
Fits a standard chocolate bar
5 inch circumference
4 1/2 inch height (average)

The sample uses approx. 60 yards worsted weight yarn on a 3.75mm crochet hook.

Please note that sizing depends on the thickness of your yarn. If using a lightweight yarn, your height will be slightly shorter. If using a thicker yarn, your height will be slightly longer.

Yarn:
Any yarn size/composition may be used!
Approx. 60 yards per hat

Hooks & Notions:
Any hook size may be used. Refer to your yarn's packaging for recommended hook size.

For tighter stitches, use a crochet hook on the smaller end of your yarn's size guide.
For looser stitches, use a crochet hook at the larger end of your yarn's size guide.
