Description
The Scalloped Baby Blanket is the coziest, most beautifully textured blanket I've made before. I whipped up this design for my daughter's first birthday gift and it turned out so cozy I just had to share it! I picked the softest, chunkiest yarn I could find and paired it with a lovely textured style of stitches and a scalloped border to create a blanket that is not only warm and cozy to sleep with, but feels great to the touch. It is perfect for the little ones in your life, but it's easy to make it in a larger size for adults too!

The base of the blanket is a wavy, rippled pattern with a simple 1-row repeat. It is so simple that even a beginner can make this blanket, but it's also a perfect, quick project for experienced crocheters to whip up! You can easily make this with striped or solid yarn as well, but I selected a super bulky (weight 6) multicolor yarn to get the effect I was looking for. In this pattern, I provide the measurements to make a baby blanket, with the instructions of how to make it larger if you choose.
