This lil guy is perfect for that teeny ball of yarn you just can't figure out a project for, and they work up really fast! Or, whip up a whole bunch of "octos" as quick market makes! It's an "octopus," in quotes, because it might look like one but it actually has a varying number of little tentacles! A large scrap may yield up to 10, but you can get by with just 5 or 6 if you're really using up your scrappiest scraps. The tentacles can be made two different ways, one for stiffer standing legs and one for rounder, more protruding legs. I suggest trying both to find your favorite!
