As a scary person in need of summer clothes, this question arises. How do I find summer wear that still matches my dark mood without going bankrupt? Easy! I will make clothes inspired by my favorite films! This one's color scheme is so very obviously inspired by Beetlejuice. You probably will see a lot of that here ;)

Intermediate level: I have a quick tutorial on how granny squares work but I recommend knowing the basic stitches as well as how to decrease with granny clusters before attempting this pattern. The decreases for the waist also involve a bit of math.

This pattern is adaptable to become longer shorts, and to be both regular or high waisted. Just continue following the steps to make them longer! All my wearables will be made to fit your measurements, so no awkward sizing. You just take the measurements indicated and crochet for that long! That way, all body sizes and shapes are included.

Disclaimer: Since Granny squares are equally as large as they are tall, depending on the size you want, you may need to add more rounds of granny stitch. I have 55" hips so I didn't need to add many, but you might need to add more.

Materials: a tester kindly warned that cotton might not be the best choice for this pattern, as it's weighing it down. You might want to choose a lighter material such as acrylic.

For 55" hips and 46" waist, I used 1 1/2 skeins of each color of Hobbii Kind Feather.
