Description
Pattern Information
This is a unisex adult pattern that uses simple cable repeats. This is perfect for a beginner who knows knits and purls and wants to try cables. I do restart row counts between sections for easier customization.
Materials
Yarn- Any worsted weight wool yarn (150-200yds) The beanie in the photo used 1 skein of Expression Fiber Arts Worsted Pearlescent yarn 50%wool,50% Mulberry Silk
US 6-4.00mm 15inch circular knitting needles and a set of US 6- 4.00mm DPNS. You can choose to do the magic loop method if your circular needles are a lot longer and use the traveling loop method if you don't have dpns. However I highly recommend dpns because I personally find them easier.
Notions:
Darning needle for weaving in ends
Scissors
Cable Needle
Stitch Marker
Tape Measure or Ruler
Stitch Key:
CO- Cast On
K- Knit K2tog- Knit two together
P- Purl P2tog- Purl two together
C6F- Six Stitch Left Twisting Cable. ( Slip 3 stitches onto the cable needle leaning it to the front of the work. Knit the next three stitches from the left needle. Without twisting the cable needle, carefully knit the three stitches on it.)
