2 skeins Yarn Bee Authentic Hand-dyed Vivid 100% Superwash Merino Wool in color lime (or any DK weight yarn that knits to the correct gauge). Approx. 3.5 oz/215 yd. The cowl uses 1 skein. The hat uses about 2/3 of the skein as written. A longer hat can be made by adding additional pattern repeats before beginning the decreasing section.

Needles

Size US6 (4.0mm) double pointed needles (or size to achieve gauge). 16” circular needles can be used until the circumference of the piece gets too small, if desired.

Tools

1 stitch marker to indicate beginning of round, scissors, measuring tape, tapestry needle, row counter (or your preferred method of tracking pattern rows). Optional: additional stitch markers to use between pattern repeats.
