Description
At times, a simplistic texture is all you need for a great sock! Snickerdoodle is a sock pattern with just enough spice to make it interesting, without being overwhelmed, just like the cookie it takes its name from.

The pattern has both toe-up and cuff-down constructions and contains written directions and charts - making this pattern ideal for your preferred knitting style. A link to my free Back to Basics sock pattern should you wish to swap out the heel (as simple as replacing the foot/leg directions with the desired heel without all the icky math!).

Worked in the round, Snickerdoodle contains both cuff-down and toe-up written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. The pattern has instructions for a short row heel, but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using (links included for alternatives).

The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the design could be worked on double-pointed needles or mini-circulars instead should you prefer (ensure you denote your instep stitches with extra markers so you dont miss the placement of the heel or toe shaping).

This sock pattern shines well with solid, semi-solid, or lightly variegated/speckled yarns. Picking an appropriate yarn for this project will ensure you don't lose the fun texture you'll be creating with this pattern stitch.
