Description

This is a great project for a tunisian crochet newbie. It can be made with a normal crochet hook as the rows are short. The pattern demonstrates increasing and decreasing as well as an easy yet effective method for tunisian cables. Lastly, the short rows and join as you go method make it an easy make with only 2 ends to weave in - or 1 if you crochet over the first one!

Materials

Yarns

Between 100-200g of dk/light worsted weight yarn (Australian 8/10ply).
I used Bendigo Woollen Mills ‘Murano‘ (now discontinued) for the sample pictured. This is a single spun 100% Australian wool with a gradient transition.

Note that this pattern is not restrictive in the yarn type used, just ensure to have an appropriate hook size for the yarn - about 2 sizes bigger than the label suggests for crochet.

Hooks

8mm standard crochet hook. Hook needs to be able to hold a maximum of 8 loops at a time.

Needles

Darning needle for weaving in ends.
