Oversized hoods are something of a passion of mine! I used multiple Yarns that I had in my stash from previous projects, ranging from medium to extra bulky weight. Sometimes I held the yarn to strands at once for thicker rows, and sometimes not. I encourage you to have fun with it and make it your own however you feel like!
